CCC.com - How high will they go?

Hi Gang,

Lately, i've been wondering whether i should start selling my 3 character .com domains. (Any combination of Letters and Numbers in a .com - Such as 2s1.com, 3OE.com, LR4.com, etc.)
I've seen them selling anywhere between $140 - high $xxx.
My question is though, how high will they continue to go? Does their value have a ceiling? If so, what do you think it is and when will it be reached?

Depends on how badly you need the money. There's a lot of room left for prices to rise. The number of business online is constantly increasing, the number of people accessing the internet in developing nations in mushrooming, and there's very little knowledge or confidence in non-.com extensions, aside from some country codes.

We won't see a peak for several years, I'd say.

Furthermore, if these domains are parked and profitable, then no need to sell them unless you get an offer that takes that into account.

That's just the question. I've arrived at the exact same conclusion as you. However, i wonder where the ceiling is. It's not so much about needing the money, it's about a calculated sale of 3 character .com, hopefully catching them at their peak.
As with everything else, what goes up - usually comes down at some point or at least levels out and then remains static.
Thus, the question, how high will the LLN/LNL/NLL/NNL/NLN,... .com combos go? Do they indeed have the potential to break the $x.xxx mark or will we see a ceiling in the mid $xxx area?

For 3 char .coms with numbers I think nothing is going to happen price wise.

Yes they are short, but what company really needs 4y7.com, No company name I can think of would ever have 2 numbers in it hardly any have 1 number. Unless you were lucky to get something that might be a car or phone or c21.com (century 21), or PR4(5)(6)(7).com, I doubt its worth much and wonโ€™t gain value. The way i see it the pricing now is based on other domainers and speculation on future value. The practical side of it is little to none, unless you got some hidden gem of a domain. :imho:

Just my thoughts.
