So what's it all about then? Do people use it for anything in particular. I've got a couple of great keywords that are free in .cc but does anyone actually use it??? Thanks in advance for any opinions.

Yep. There are some websites on .cc domains. Chinese and Taiwanese like them for some reason.

Wretch.cc is one of the top Alexa websites.
On.cc is the main website of a major Hongkong media company.

.cc is a weak ccTLD - plenty of great keywords still avail, because resale is completely limited... small market, few buyers.

I tried many times to search some nice keywords in .CC but failed. If you think there are plenty of great keywords still available, can you just tell few of them... I might be interested to buy all of them!

I was into CC a bit a year or 2 ago, but resale market is light. I still made a profit, but nothing astronomical. I recommend developing if you do find a juicy keyword.

Unless it is a major major keyword or cc.cc, that just happens to find that right buyer .cc is generally a waste of money. Many better extensions out there.

That said , from my experience there is a buyer for just about everything- just gotta find them.

I have got some good keyword .cc domains. Some of them I have developed too!

I like .cc for development because good keywords are easily available.
My sites are http://www.spanish.cc and http://www.russian.cc
Spanish.cc is DMOZ listed. It was previously owned but the owner
let the registration expire.

If you want to kick start your cc experience, you should buy Alameda.cc and HDVD.cc from me for cheap. I think I am bowing out of the cc market.
