I don't know that anyone's saying there are many sales yet. Yes, CBG has been around for a long time - but so has CBD, and that finally exploded. Is it possible that other cannabinoids will come along for the ride? Sure, I'd say so. Yes a lot of research has already been done, but there's so much more to do.

Will there ever be any notable market for CBG domains specifically? Maybe, maybe not.

You seem skeptical. Ok, so maybe it's not for you. Great, luckily there are a thousand other terms you can throw your money at that have absolutely nothing to do with CBG.

I say, based on my experience, that there is already some (modest) demand for strong CBG domains, and I personally expect that demand to grow substantially over the next few years. (Will it? Who knows, I can only place my bets.)

That being said, I think that even in a strong market, 90% of what's been showcased here is extremely unlikely to sell. Heck, the majority of my own collection will probably never sell. But that's how any showcase thread goes. 90% junk. In the junk there's often some treasure though.

If someone's buying CBG domains, I would hope they understand that even for the best names they'd almost certainly need to hold for multiple years before getting any meaningful offers. It's really not worth registering junk only to drop it a year later. Trust me, I know!
