Please appraise Casino.hk

The extension is for Hong Kong where gambling is very hot!

Had some bids on it mid $x,xxx but I believe it to be a domain with more potential in the coming year(s)

Hong Kong is getting very strong and according to Newsweek Chinese govt is going to allow international ipo's on hong stock market which will be attractive to public and smaller traders and investors. Hong Kong will continue to grow more stronger as a benchmark for the Chinese economy.
There is a stock exchange in Shanghai but that one lists merely state owned companies and only desirable for huge foreign investors.

Besides this domain 'casino' has high keyword value at the moment, we see it to represent a bigger economical value in the future.

Go to Monic.net.mo which is run by the university of Macao and sole responsible party for Macao domain registration.

It may reach that high. How many casinos in HK? May be it is a great idea to organize a public or semi-public auction at some popular place (a casino). Prepare and send out a press-release, first call then send invitations to owners and directors of HK casinos. Could be a real show which will increase the value of the domain.

That domain is HUGE! Do you realise how much money some people are making from casino domains? One name can give $xx,xxx click thru revenue per year!

That's the problem I accidently bumped into it and grabbed it before someone else did. I totally have no indepth knowledge of domain trading, only my logic tells me that this is a good name.

Now I have set up a forum, but as with all fora one need to promote in order to get ppl to post, and I don't even know if the topics I put on there are interesting. Since you mention the PPC maybe it's better to get a landing page at a parking site.

Thanks very much for the update.

About traffic, I had this domain in my closet for a couple of months, and just started working with it since a few weeks, so traffic now isn't that much. Allthough at sedo it gets lot's of views. Don't know how or why But I'm not complaining.

Also, you need to part it somewhere visible from Mainland China, since many HK casino visitors may live in China. Sedo parking pages and most parking pages are not visible from there, but I believe goldkey.com parking pages are visible from China. You could try parking it with goldkey and see what the result is.

It was listed active on 10/8/2005 at sedo and has 650 views up to yesterday. Dunno if this counts for much. It's not parked there, maybe I should consider parking it.

yeah, your not going to get much in ppc unless you have people actually typing in your domain. Seeing as though you havent, dont set your sights high with earning a lot in this way.

your only value is in selling it. And if you want my advice, id market it for $15k and take the profit and or potential quick sale....

There are many many much better names than this, all owned by people waiting to become very rich by selling their domain... www.milk.com e.g. All the quotes of $100k in this thread really arent giving you a realistic number especially when they say "hang on to it" - for you will be - for a very long time probably...
