Case Sensitive Search Engine

I need to find a case-sensitive search engine. Seems like all the major players (Google, Ask, Yahoo, Altavista) all do not offer this functionality.

I have a need to do a case-sensitive search related to domaining. Let's say, for example, I wanted to search for "NamePros" and not just "namepros".

Any ideas?

Hehe....it reminds me of something. Our college firewall didn't allow us to search "pamela anderson" in google. But when we searched "PAMELA ANDERSON", it allowed!!!

I've never heard of one ... and I'm curious as to your specific need for one at this time ("need to do a case-sensitive search related to domaining"), IMHO. :blink:

Google doesn't discriminate on how you search -- namepros and NamePros and namePros and nAmePrOs will all be reported in their search just the same.

The only practical purpose I could understand that might pertain to domaining would be if you were looking for acronym domains. Unfortunately, I'm not aware of such a search engine.

but you can set it up on mysql tables
but by default it's not case sensitive

My need is to search for common marketing usages of generic phrases. Vague, I know, but here is an example: let's say people generally referred to code for websites as "website code". So, Google may show tons of results for "website code" and, consequently, "websitecode.com" may be seen as a worthwhile domain name. But, from a marketing perspective, I'd want to know if there are any other attempts at marketing "WebsiteCode" or "Website Code" as product names or company names in the past. This serves as a legal check so I don't step on any trademark rights, but also as a plausability check to see perhaps if "Website Code" has been a product attempt by many companies.

Also, "Website Code" is just an example for the discussion -- I do not own it.

Does this make sense? I remember the early days of Yahoo and Google when they had the checkbox option for "case-sensitive". I used to think, "why would I need that?" Now, I know why I would need that!
