Looking for a little help with some appraisals for some domains.
These are just domains (not developed... yet or are in the process of being developed)

According to Google Keyword tool:
1.22 million Global Monthly Searches
90.5 thousand Local Monthly Searches
For exact keywords "Camera-Digital" (including hyphen) in exact order

Medium/High competition


Just seeing what you guys think of this.

I think that undeveloped they are worth reg fee, MAYBE low two figures. I am surprised "camera-digital" and "Burner DVD" get searches, though they make no sense.

By the way, you were looking at the broad search counts for those. "camera-digital" gets 1.2 million exact a month local (United States) and "burner dvd" gets 1,900 exact a month local (United States).

Where did you get the numbers for those searches?
I could only find Google keyword tool to give average monthly searches. Is there something that I am missing?
I figure if its Google Keyword Search Tool, then it has be be mildly accurate but I could be wrong.

PS.
When I use Google Keyword Tool (in the advanced options) I always choose United States as the Location.
When I choose All Countries I come out with some astronomical number
37.9 Million Global
37.9 Million Local

I know for a fact that that is not the case.

Did you choose "exact" as opposed to "broad"? Always do your keyword searches in exact match, as this will give you the number of searches for that exact phrase in that order with nothing else added before or after it.

Ok, I see now. I never noticed that over to the side there before. Thank you for your help.
Still I will take 1.2 million monthly searches with a .net. I figure I can rack up some good traffic if I do a little seo to get it to list.

Well, I have found those backwards domains to be pretty well worthless. Add a hyphen and a net to it, and you'd have to pay me to take it.
I also find the exact searches for this a suspect number. You can't believe everything Google says. Even Google doesn't. Look at Google traffic estimates and they say:


Average Estimated CPC
¥46 - ¥68
Total Estimated Clicks
7 - 9
Total Estimated Cost
¥365 - ¥676

7-9 clicks per day from over a million monthly searches?

And to that, remember that "digital cameras" is one of the most competitive keywords to place for. A domain name will only get you so far. Even if you had digitalcameras.com it would still require some big time SEO work to get (and stay) on Google's first page.

So you have a sub-standard name is super competitive market. Even if you want to (and are able to) put in the serious work needed to make any money, I think you'd be better off with a name that people could more easily remember, like deadlydigitalcameras.com.

As said low resale value, but could be good for a mini-site because you still have some strong keywords in the domain.
