Buying Banners/Text Link Ads on other Website/Forums

I own a website called The Order of Men which is a Men's discussion forum promoting camaraderie and fellowship for men while highlighting true heroes of men to show example.

I'm running out of ideas to get people to my site and sign up. Right now I get about 150-200 visitors a day with very little sign ups. Have been up and running for 6 months now and looking to give it a boost before we lose anymore members.

Anyone have any ideas where I should look to buy banner ads or text ads? Anyone have success with any sites? Not really looking to spend more then 100 dollars as my site does not bring any money in right now.

Right now, my main source of visitors in through google, links in other forums, and word of mouth. If you have any other ideas to keep my forum from dieing, I'm all ears.

send out an email announcing this as well so old members can get to it.
