Hi guys,

First off let me say that this is a lovely forum! I've been lurking for a few weeks and have now decided to buy my first domain.

I am looking to buy a .pro domain name, I looked around and saw that name.com sells them for $19.95 the price is fine by me but once I try to check out it asks me for:

Profession Type
The Profession Type field is required.
Licensing Authority
The Licensing Authority field is required.
Date of License (YYYY-MM-DD)
The Date of License (YYYY-MM-DD) field is required.

I am not a professional in the domain that I'd like to buy, do I need to fill out all this data to buy a .pro domain name or is there a way around it?

Thank you all in advance,

Roy

I would say, one-word with high searches, if we find we should register..

At the level

shop.pro
website.pro etc.

Thanks guys, I had hoped there was an easy way to get a .pro, I had found a great name with 110,000 exact searches...

exact searches don't apply to .pro

and don't waste your money

A .pro with 110k es/mo makes sense to me at $15, but I can understand not everyone has an appetite for such a 'huge risk'. :p
