What do you think the value of these DNs are?

Thanks for all comments.

Too long IMHO. Reg Fee for both

Good luck

$0

Why did you register these?

I reg'd them because of the keyword value. "BuyDomainNames" "DomainNames" and "DomainNamesForSale" are all in BuyDomainNamesForSale.com

Same with BuyAWebsiteName.com

IMO they are worth a bit more then reg fees.

GG when someone has to ask why you regged a domain, and then puts value at $0... I wouldn't worry too much about their appraisal.

As far as the names go... They are longer than usual, but who cares about length when there are fave's and bookmarks. The phrases are easy to say and remember.

Value - imo - mid-high $$ to domainers and low to mid $$$ to end user.

There are plenty of examples of brandable names and phrase names going for more than $0 or "reg fee" (Some people need to check out DNJournal.com every once in a while.

ownthisdomainnow, you've got issues.

Unbelievable.

Appraise every name for above reg fee--that's what everyone wants to hear, right? I did my best to give some realism to the names put for appraisal here. Have fun, guys/gals. I've got better things to do.

By your logic, BuyDomainNamesForSaleByOwner.com would also be worth getting because "for sale by owner" is a good phrase and is in it. So too would BuyAWebsiteDomainName.com. Adding length to get an extra phrase rarely if ever works, especially if the phrase in question is already 3+ words and are not that valuable. Length and extension will always be factors in this business, even with SEO being as important as it is.

Just because 1 or 2 good phrases are IN a name doesn't make the name itself a good phrase, and unless you're going for brandable names, your name really needs to be a good phrase in and of itself. SearchEngineOptimization.com is a perfect example. Despite its crazy length, anyone here would like to own that name, because it's a popular phrase. However, "buy domain names for sale" has 0 OVT, and "buy a website name" has 173, sharing it with "buy website names" and thus not really being good for its length. Google results show too...9,760 for "buy domain names for sale", and only 28 for "buy a website name", both unimpressive, and especially not good since you're competing against the length of the names.

You're obviously going for generic names looking for good SERPs, and who knows, you may get it. However, names like that have absolutely no resale market IMO unless you've got a page developed that is reaping the benefits of the SERPs, and even then, you probably wouldn't be able to sell for that many months of revenue because the names are much too long to be business quality. Keep in mind also that on the SERPs, you'd have a much longer name in competition with established domain sites with much shorter, more professional sounding names. Maybe you can prove us wrong and get a sale out of it, but my appraisal is reg fees, and I apologize in advance if ownthisdomainnow doesn't like my appraisal!

Thanks for the comments.. Very nice.

I actually found this domain name listed on someone else's site for sale for like 1million.....CRAZY!!! I looked it up and it was expired so I reg'd it for $8.00...... I thought it was a steal from $1,000,000...... I think this person was in LaLa land or stuck in the 90's :)

Anyway I reg'd BuyaDN.com Is that better?

You're welcome...I always want to make sure people go on the right path, and going down that 4-5 word domain path, you'll find that "hey, all these great domains are available!" Only they're not great!

Anyhow, BuyaDN.com is better, but IMO the abbreviation DN can be hurt in this case...I think in general the "buy a domain name" phrase would be marketed at newbies, people who don't already own domains, etc. In that case, a lot of them wouldn't immediately realize what DN means. We in the biz are used to that abbreviation, and if you notice, a lot of sites with DN in the title are pretty much aimed at those in the biz (DNJournal.com being a good example). Sure there are worse choices...I could just see how well a newbie to domains would take in ccTLD! Anyways, you might get something out of that name, but I wouldn't count on more than low $xx. Good luck though.
