@Joe Styler - Any plans on updating the data that's heavily factored into these "Valuations" on a regular basis?

As far as I can tell every single valuation, old and new, is based on the 04/02/2023 data. (OVER 2 YEARS AGO!)

That's a fail. Plain and simple.

Tell me I'm wrong.

I love Govalue before with "comparable domain sold" tab.
And 3 domain valuation per day isn't a big deal.

That is about a year after I stopped running that tool, so I am not sure what the plans are for it as I am focused 100% on Domain Academy now. I would tag @GoDaddy for questions about GoDaddy products other than Domain Academy. Those I can answer. For this tool like all the others Domain Academy offers we are consumer of the service and offer a wide variety of valuation tools from various sources on DomainAcademy.com/tools this is just one of many we offer.

Hello, Godaddy GoValue hasn't been working properly for about two weeks.

The order of the domains in the generated CSV list doesn't match the order they were entered in the box on the website. This makes processing the results a bit more cumbersome.

And sometimes a results list is displayed with the sole text "File not found."

Thanks @Joe Styler

We'll get that reviewed. Thanks, @Name2go.

Hi Name2go,
I can't make it break when I tried and I am not getting complaints from other people about it, and I usually do when the valuation tools are not working pretty quickly. Having said that there are a few things that could be causing the issues for you. If none of these things fix it for you then please send me a message and we will get some more information from you to give to the developers to see if we can figure it out.
I'll put the issues I normally come across in order of most common first that you can try to resolve it:
- Dont bookmark the url, actually click through the links from DomainAcademy.com/tools when you want to open a tool. After a while, depending on how many updates are done on the tool behind the scenes or path to the tool the tool will break for you because you are using an old way to get there that hasn't been updated.
-Similarly if you have been using the same browser window(s) you will be timed out on the back end but it will not look like you are timed out when trying to use the tool and you will get an error instead of results. There is a timeout in something like days of time without logging out and back in, it should force you to sign back in if we know you are timed out of our system. It doesn't always due to various possibilities. Sometimes logging out of Godaddy and making sure any open windows to Godaddy are closed or all logged off and then logging back in and going to DomainAcademy.com and logging in fresh will fix it by forcing the session to refresh your credentials.
-Last and least common. You can only do 150 domains a day via the Godaddy valuation tool. It is possible the way the tool is setup on the backend to do more than 150 if you do them rapidly or if there is a delay between the tool and the database. So you can do say a list of 80 and then another list of 80 which puts you at 160 total vs your 150 limit. The tool catches up in a short time and realizes this and then effectively blocks you for a day so you come back tomorrow and it won't work because you used more than 150 yesterday. If you give it another day it will clear out and give you 150 lookups again. If you were really slamming the tool and got say 400 names through you will be blocked for multiple days until those extra credits you used clear out again. This is pretty rare but I have seen it happen when investigating errors like this in the past.

Any of these three things could cause the error you are seeing on the tool. I am not sure about the order change because no one ever brought that up to me before so I will look into that. Either way please let me know if this fixes it for you or if we need to look at some other options to troubleshoot this.
Thanks for letting me know.

Hello and thank you for the detailed feedback. @Domain Academy

I use the Bulk Value Tool practically every day as a decision-making aid and try to make the best use of my quota of 150 domains per day. Exceeding the 150 and receiving an error message wouldn't bother me.

Let me clarify my experience:
- An error message is never displayed on the website.(y)
- A CSV file is always generated.(y)

The content of the CSV files is problematic:
- Each file displays the order of the domains differently than I entered them.
- Some files are empty and contain the text "File not found" in line 1.
- Recently, I received two files at the same time: One file was completely empty, without the above-mentioned line 1 text. The other file contained the ratings.

The work environment was not changed. I use the current Firefox browser on a Lenovo Thinkbook with Windows 11. I open the CSV files with MS Excel. AntiVir (paid subscription) is up to date.
I work with tabs in the browser. I always have tabs open with the Academy Tools homepage and the Bulk Value Tool. To edit, I sometimes reopen the Bulk Value Tool from the Academy site, and sometimes I reload the opened tool. This makes no difference to the results.
Moreover, Firefox restarts quite often and I have to login to Godaddy again. Restart could be because a Firefox update needs to be installed, or because the operating system or my antivirus detects another update and forces the computer to restart. Therefore, bullet point 2 of your message shouldn't be the cause.
In general, my user behavior hasn't changed, but the content of the CSV files has.
