Does anyone here actually offer brokerage services to help sell domains? I only ask because whenever I come to this part of the forum, it’s just loads of posts of people asking for brokerage selling services and not a single one gets a reply. (Maybe it’s all done via PMs but I’m not sure)

Not being facetious, just genuinely curious.

I have domains I’d love help with selling but I don’t know anything about this space or how it works -

Is there a vetting process for both broker and seller?
Is there a minimum amount for a broker to take on a name? Either commission or perceived value of a domain.
What about security, transfers?

Lots of questions, any information is appreciated.

If there are brokers reading this forum and they see a domain in a post worth brokering, they probably respond via a PM. There's really no point in advertising your interest.

Vetting - Google, Social Media, etc. are your friends. Someone claiming to be a top broker that's closed million dollar deals but only has 10 LinkedIn followers and no Google results is probably lying.

Minimum commission - depends on the broker. But usually 10% as a bare minimum. The more established and successful brokers will probably charge more.

Security and transfers - If it's an independent broker, use an established Escrow service like Escrow.com. Search for Epik in this forum for a cautionary tale. Sedo and GoDaddy use their own Escrow service for domains they broker.

I see; that's reassuring news - I thought this section was dead, but I'll be mindful of this info going forward.

Thanks @draco
