Hi

Last week after joining this community, I joined Sedo, and became certified. I did this after reading the DN Journal, and seeing which companies sold the highest priced, and more then one dn last week in their report.
dnjournal(dot)com/archive/domainsales/2017/20170301.htm
So I think I'll be using Sedo for this first sale - after visiting a few sites that offer this service.

I decided to try to sell bridgingpeople.com first, of the 4 or 5 names that I have available. I am hoping some fellow NamePros members will give some feedback on what they thought it would value at.

I'm hoping the seemingly versatile meaning of the term BridgingPeople, will be a positive, when it comes to selling.

Anyone else have a thought or two?

Thank you
Tammy

This is one domain I keep going back and forth on. On one hand, 'bridging people' sounds like a nice, positive name. But on the other hand, I keep feeling like something is missing, like 'bridging people what'? Bridging people .....?
I agree it could be used as a blog or forum for lgbt causes or connecting people over politics/religion/etc. But the only problem is, that would likely be an individual blogger, who likely won't have much money to spend on a domain.
I notice the .org of the name seems to be registered to some kind of organization. I didn't look much into it, but perhaps they would be interested in buying the .com to redirect to their site?

Thank you. I never thought about BridgingPeople what? and that's what I like about your comment. I will think about how that question fits with the name.

I like the domain. It is nice, positive and sends a strong message about connectivity or making connections possible (awesome!). I can see a tech/telecom company or a travel agency use BridgingPeople.com as a name to point back to their site. In the scenario I just described, you'll quickly realize your name is pretty much self explanatory.

The other positive to your name is that it also sounds like the short perfect slogan. As I am typing this, I had an eureka moment and thought wait a hot second; recruiters could definitely use BridgingPeople.com!

Thank you,

I find it is positive, and could be versatile. I like the idea of recruiters, I hadn't thought of that.

I'm working on updating the one page site, with a list of companies or sectors that might find use for the name. I'm going to put some generic logo ideas on it, perhaps that will spark someone, then a few links to websites that top rank - or so on google with the term... I hope to have that done by the end of the week. I hope to decide what type of selling option I'm going to choose on Sedo.com by the beginning of next week and post it for sale. Then I might personally email some of the contacts on that google search and introduce them to the domain name being for sale.

I'll be sure to look up recruiters, and include them on the page.
I'm glad you took the time to comment. Having your feedback is helping me move forward. I enjoyed your enthusiasm, thank you, thank you.

Just to chime in...not sure what you mean exactly by add companies and recruiters, but if you mean to list actual company names on the website, I would recommend against that. I'm sure some companies would not be thrilled to be directed to a for sale page that lists their company name as a good buyer for the site.

You're correct. I'll have to work on that concept. Thank you!
