How would this domain be used ? It's not meaningful to me.

While accepting that the extension has not had much resales yet, I am not quite as negative as @Arpit131. Let me explain why.

I presume that this is intended as BnB as a bed and breakfast acronym (the usual one is B&B but of course domains do not allow that). B&B is obviously huge business all around the world. As such, I could see it used as a directory or review or advertising site related to B&Bs. Would they want .rocks instead of say .net or .site or .xyz for that matter, or instead of say .life or .world or even .place that seems to suddenly be in vogue in the last two NameBio daily reports. I am not sure.

Now it is possible to use it in a way that makes coherent use across the dot. There are at least two major tourism sites in the world (quite possibly more) that go by TheRocks. One is in Australia (never been there but if anyone wants to sponsor me to go to check out domain possibilities I am game :xf.smile:) and the other one is in New Brunswick, Canada on the Bay of Fundy. It is a magical and wonderful and beautiful place that everyone should visit (and I did many many times). Both of those have multiple beds and breakfasts in area. Would they want this domain name, not sure. I did not do a full look at other extension availability, but you should.

OK lets get to numbers. The .rocks extension has sold only a handful of times The huge sale of autism(.)rocks (used to promote rock events with proceeds to autism research and support) for $100,000 dwarfs all others and makes average prices meaningless. Another great name, moon(.)rocks sold for $8000, I presume for a reference site or meteorite site but have not checked. After that they get more down to earth (pun) but casino(.)rocks sold for $999 in February of this year (interestingly someone had picked it up for $69 within the year, so if that domainer is reading this, congrats, great ROI!). Most of the other sales are modest, like Hawaii sold for $69 (the domain not the whole island :xf.grin:) and CrowdFunding for $55 (presume that is all they could raise for a domain name haha :xf.grin:).

But what about BNB you ask. Good question! The exact word has only sold twice, once in info and once in mobi for $260 and $164 both some time ago. GoValue shows other sales including a .la country code for $997. Now if we look at words beginning with BNB, BNBworld in com sold for $2400 while BNBhost in com for $465 last year.

In full domain appraisals I also look at Google search and sites. The term "B&B rocks" with quotes produces 330 results which is actually not that bad - some are reviews, some titles, etc. The term B&B alone is 151 million results, showing how important the term is.

What do GoValue think it is worth? $949

What do I think it is worth? Well less than that, but more than registration fee for sure. It is short, an important and super widely used abbreviation. The extension is not widely used outside entertainment business which is a negative. A hard sell for sure, but I would try in the low to mid $$$ range.

ps Disclosure I hold 0 .rocks domain names, although I did hold one that I liked a lot, and tried to sell moderately hard, but was unsuccessful and, sob, I let it lapse and it is gone now. :xf.sick:

Best of luck with it!
