I have always been a fan of blogs since they first appeared on the Internet, but since then, they really haven’t changed very much at all. We all know the big blog companies, Blogger, Wordpress, etc but all in all, they basically offer the same features; blog, comment, blog, comment. Obviously not that impressive with the growing demands of today’s Internet users.

I have a real treat for you bloggers out there.

Then there came Blogonize.com.

This sexy babe is a new, exciting blog host with features that I never thought were even possible. Among it’s many unique features, there’s a function that lets you convert your posts from text to audio so your readers can become listeners. It uses AJAX technology so you can post, edit, etc without reloading the page. It even has a feature that allows your blog entries to be showcased on a “Hot page” where posts are displayed based upon users’ ratings. All this and stuff like WYSIWYG editors, traffic graphs, etc are included in one package. This is the future of blogs. This is today's news people.

I registered for my own account and tested a few things out. I’m definitely impressed. Apparently, they don’t force advertisements onto your blog at all, which was really surprising since I have no idea how they make money to cover the development costs (there’s no advertisements, ANYWHERE. Even on the site itself). Anyways, if you haven’t already, be sure to check them out:

Here are a few of it’s ‘competitors’ so you may compare the feature list: http://www.blogger.com, www.vox.com. You’ll see the difference ;).

Till next time..

PS, another cool tool for your blog, furthering the revolution of blogs in general. Check it out: http://www.odiogo.com

Wow, I shall have to give this a try.

EDIT: Its a shame we cannot download and put these on our own websites.

Just saw this over at digitalpoint as well. I just signed up and was an easy process of setting up the blog. I wish they had more templates though to work with. But for the most part the templates are fine and workable.

They're still in beta, so you never know...maybe the ads will come up later or perhaps they're just trying to get as many people to register first, before they eventually sell the site...maybe then we'll start seeing a few ads... :$:

IMHO, it's just a matter of time for Wordpress to develop addons/plugins of these "unique" features.:D

I was giving a go and found a few of their features a wee bit off. The editing feature for the links/blogroll section will not let me delete links. I attempted several times. And there is like a 20 character limit for titles to the blogroll links. There are few more kinks they really need to work out before one may even compare to wordpress plugins.
