Blog creation help needed

Hi

I am just born in the arena of web development

I am trying to convert one of my domain name into "may be" a blog. I am using wordpress to do so.I want to have a feature where in external users can also post articles..something like Namepros itself .Is that possible or Blog is just meant for the author to post his views ?..I know its insane to ask such a question but as I said i am just born :p

If you think anything other than blog will be a better idea to create an interactive community ,please guide.

what sort of interactive community are you looking for? if it's mainly just discussion etc, then a forum (like namepros) would be the way to go. if you're looking for a little bit less you could use wordpress and have people sign on as authors (while you stay as the admin). you could also consider developing a community using a cms like joomla.

Not a silly question at all.

As shockie mentions there are a few avenues you can go down. What you need to do is sit down and think exactly what you want.

If you want proper conversation then a forum is the way to go. If you simply want people to post articles then wordpress or any other blog system will be your best option (you can allow others to be able to post as long as they register and as shockie mentions you still have complete control as admin)
