Blah... search engine help

So i have a few sites that are basically link dumps. ( Meaning there are listings of links ). I notice that Google hammers my site daily sorting through the links but my search engine notice is pretty minimal. My sites are new but generate a few thousands unique hits a day. Would I be better off using a text description along with a link for each link?

I heard that sites that just have a ton of links do not get priority on search engines. So I was wondering if I added descriptions of the links if that would increase my likelyhood of coming up when people search for phrases

descriptions would help yes but you have loads of different links for different topics

so if you had a link to eggs.com and i searched eggs, chances are your site has less keywords on a certain topic than say a website about a chicken farm.

so you may have loads of links but your keyword population for each topic is quite small.

also tidy up your sourcecode you have tons and tons of whitespace that just insnt needed
