Big site Changed url from boards to forums now it's dead what should I do

hey folks am in a trouble
i changed my site url from boards/index.php to forums/index.php
google is not indexing my pages anymore
the site indexed pages is dropping so fast
In this situation what should i do its been long sice i worked on SEO not sure what i should do now
any ideas how to get the site back up ??

try to get a redirect from your old website to your new one. hopefully, googlebot will follow it and set it up accordingly - i think google is decent with that.

i'd redirect using .htaccess so that /boards turns into /forums.

301 redirect would be the best course of action in this situation

.htacces would be the best or if you dont know how to do that google it or just make a folder called boards and put an index.html file in there that auto redirects.
