I really had sweaty palms when I first saw the OV stats for this search term, but have since chilled out a bit, because there is just too much of a discrepency between OV and WT. I think that OV is on the fritz w/ this one, so will have to go w/ the lower search term, which isn't too shabby either. (This is the stat that made my eyes bug out: 3,707,268/mo)

I'm not certain how the term translates so don't know if it will be useful in the German market. Maybe one of our German members could clarify that.
Regardless, the .de cctld is has a relatively strong degree of international recognition. The capper for me, was that the ".de" ext works smoothly with keyword "degree".
