How bad does .us hurt this name?

If I remember correctly there are still a lot of 3char .us names avaliable. This one is not that special in itself and nothing really jumps at me about it.

All that could come to mind was "Battle Field 2" .. the game. I would suggest developing and maybe trying to gather traffic from the game, otherwise as it sits.. low-mid xx, unless an enduser is found.

I'm hoping for an end user style sale eventually. It's been regged since 2004, and BF2 is a very popular game.

BF2.com is a HUGE battlefield 2 community forum.
BF2.net is a HUGE German community BF2 site
BF2.info is another HUGE German community site (same as battlefield2.info)

I'm waiting to see what kind of type in traffic it will get...

I would try and find a end-user, more specifically a US Based BF2 site or group/clan that might be interested in purchasing the name. Also there are many US based tournament / gaming sites that host events for BF2 so they could also be prospected. Just have a search and possibly contact a few of the admins. :tu:

I wouldn't really see though any gaming clans, smaller gaming server hosts willing to pay much for the domain, so I would assume you could expect mid-high xxx offers from them. But good luck!

Don't know if BF2 will last much longer, since there is a newer generation game already out. It's 3 letters at least, so it may increase in value just based on that in coming years. As it with no development, I'd value it around $35 (reseller) and maybe $150 end user.

Indeed it has, however, the game still has millions of active players. I sill play myself every once in a while. I have four little brothers that play the game and I know a lot of people that play. That's just me...it really is a huge game and EA still creates updates all the time and actively supports it. I don't see that it would be diminished due to the time since release...

Popular game. But now there is Battlefield 2142 and while aload of people still play Battlefield 2, some migrated to 2142. Also, the game came out a while ago. I think if you develop the name into a BF2 community then it could become a nice money maker. However, selling just the domain name won't get you too much. To an end user, possibly low $xxx and to a reseller probably around mid $xx. May want to try to sell it to a current BF2 community like the ones listed above but I would personally develop it.
