I am looking for 100 beta testers for http://www.TextAdMarket.com

TextAdMarket is a text-advertising marketplace, where advertisers can buy and publishers can sell. Prices are based off a “per day” amount, and prices are determined solely by the concept of Supply & Demand. If an ad sells, the price increases that day at midnight. If an ad fails to sell, the price decreases at midnight everyday until it is bought. This way, ads are only purchased for what the market is willing to pay.

I developed TextAdMarket because of 4 reasons.
1. As an advertiser, I don’t like to overpay.
2. As a publisher, I like to sell my ads on a flat rate. (opposed to CPC/CPM)
3. It’s all automated for publishers. Just pop the banner code on your site, and it sells itself.
4. Current advertising companies are getting away with murder by charging 25% - 60% commission on all sales!


Once the site/business gets going, all publishers will receive 90% of the sale price. TextAdMarket pays for all of the transaction fees, keeps only 10% as a commission to cover costs, and we don’t charge any subscription or registration fees.

Right now, I am looking to beta test the site for a couple of months without involving money on the site. I’m asking for 100 beta testers to give me a hand in getting this site tested. During the beta testing, all AD credit is free (just ask for more).

Yes, the price will change everyday. But, in a strange way, it is still a "flat rate". If you are an advertiser (buyer) you are can buy that AD space for up to 30 days and lock in that rate.

So, I suspect more advertisers will scope out an AD they like, and wait for the price to drop to something they think is reasonable. But, at the same time, it is a competitive marketplace, so there will be other advertisers wanting to buy the ad, too.

How much customizing can I do for the ads?

I ask because if we can't make it look like something other then google ads, then I may as well take a chance on google ads and multiple clicks of 10 cents, then just an all day ad of 21 cents.

How much customizing can the publisher or the advertiser do?

Right now, customization is pretty much the same as google's system. Color.

If your site's keywords are worth 10cents a click, then you should be making more than 21 cents a day on your banner. Once your banner code is established and has been running for a couple days, you'll be able to see exactly how many clicks (both unique and total) and how many views (unique and total) your banner gets. Not to mention the graphs are incredibly pretty for this part of the site

The site will also have an "estimated value" next to your AD on its buy now page. The estimated price will be based off of the value of other ADs with the same average number of clicks and views.

I'm hoping enough people find it interesting enough to give it a shot and put at least one small banner on their site.

The beta test is going well. I've been busy fixing errors, updated the banners, and improved the site layout a bit for Internet Explorer users. I'm looking for a dozen or so more people to join the site and buy/sell ad space. Remember, its all free during the beta test, but you get free ad exposure!
