Any insight into the potential value of bdfx.com from the members of this forum is genuinely appreciated.

It's a 16 year old domain which has been developed twice in the past, both by finance related companies (foreign currency brokerages). The acronym stands for BankDirectFX, referring to wholesale market liquidity in the interbank foreign currency market.

Both businesses generated revenue and operated successfully. I have received e-mails in the past inquiring as to whether I would sell it through people that have contacted the listed registrar.

BDFX is a live site? If so, and it looks like a banking/investment site, are you trying to appraise the name alone? or the entire business?

You are likely killing some of your link juice this name has - it looks like you may have used a service or just did a limited rebuild.
I would make sure all the links actually link to something, new articles (related) etc. Right now, although not dead links, it will deter past visitors from returning in time. Not sure how long you will have to hold

The site was previously developed and run by another company back in 2008.

I inherited it, redesigned it, and ran a business on it from 2012-2013/14.

I was re-designing the site for future use and hired a low-grade web dev who never finished the partially completed work you see. I've decided to re-brand the company under another name and will sell this domain.

Yes, trying to appraise the name alone, although there may be more value in finishing the site and than re-selling it together, I imagine. Time is an issue, and I need the money, which is why I'm considering to just sell the domain name by itself as I don't have the time to develop the site and then sell.
