Coffe seems to get more popular each day and so does Baristas....

Please give me your honest opinion about this domain, all shared thoughts are very appreciated!

Parked name came up as reg fee on Estibot and $140 to $210 on Swiftappraisal.com using harshest criteria (ultra conservative).

My first reaction was that this name does not fit a decent market. It is the owners of the stores who hire baristas that do the buying.

After I thought about it a while I think that this maybe able to be developed. It is a small-medium market but it captures that market well. I live mostly in two countries; Thailand and New Zealand and it is impossible to buy a good coffee. I have spent countless thousands on rubbish undrinkable slop that has to be sent back to re-do. That includes you Starbucks! Many people feel the same way.

I think there is a market for material aimed at baristas which tells them how to make coffee and perhaps sells equipment too. Without doing searches those are my thoughts.

I'd say that the domain name is easy to remember however I'm sure this might be easily fetched back from you by Barista since it contains their brand name. So, keep it with you but do not develop it or promote it.

Who are Barista? It's a generic name for an occupation surely? Similar to claiming the name doctor??

You are right. It is patented in USA for a number of things; containers, perfume and for retail outlets. Buy it is being actively contested by Starbuck's. They have 2 products containing the word barista. However, I think this is a very flimsy patent. Could be wrong of course!

thanks a lot guys, so you mean this domain could be a trademark.....i thought of it as Barista="coffee pro" Store- a store for luxurius cofee products.....
