Barbie is a trademark. Mattel will come after you.

Please don't be hard on a newbie, i assume english is not his native language, for that he needs a little bit help/explanation what is going on with that name...

Barbie is a world wide known doll, created by the company matell..they also trademarked that name because they are generating a lot of money with it(here is some explanation what a TM is:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trademark)

So, if you register a domain with a Term others have a TM on it or conducting business with it, you are asking for big trouble/legal issues, cancel that domain if you can

You should really just let this one go. Delete it and save yourself untold grief and rather large expenses due to the legal issues.

don't know if you hand regged this or got it on a drop, but I would suggest you do some more reading around this fine forum and learn what makes a good domain name, in particular, one that won't get you into trouble of the TM variety.

I understand, thanks for informations. I will give one example I am from Turkey, there are many turkish barbie game sites, like kralbarbie.com barbieoyunlari.com etc. I didn't ever hear that they had any trouble with trademark issues.I guess this danger is for international domains and domains like ''barbie1''.

I agree with gemstar. Barbie has many meanings... however.. as we just saw that also "olympic" has many meanings, but olympics is TMed too.

Bottom line: If you have a good lawyer, its a good domain to keep. If you can't afford a lawyer, get rid of it.
