Looking for critique of my banners. Which one do you like the best? What do you like about each of them? Displikes? Improvements? Which one do you think will be the most successful?

Thanks!

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.

frankly they all stink *sry just my opinion* but the first two won't do anything but keep users away. the thirid has a slight chance of working, then again I have a slight chance of being the daddy of britney's next baby (a chance that gets bigger by the day).

the problem with them is they are all a 'bright' background. not to mention they are all text. The bright background makes it dificult to see the text, and the multiple colors of texts makes it hard for the human mind to pay attention to it, now if they were flashing... well that's a different story.

try limiting your colors and adding some graphics.

for instance the red one claims that an ipod is a prize, so use an ipod image. that adds structure to the banner instead of just two lines of text, structure keeps users attention while lines of text tends to bore them.

The yellow is the best, IMO. I'm with dragons5 in that you should try cutting down on the color (it's okay to have bright colors, but the text doesn't look right and the gradient isn't working) and possibly adding some images.

The main problem I see is that they are just text on gradients. They are all too simple. You need to grab peoples attention with these, boring old text on a gradient background isn't going to do that.

So you need to work on your format and variety. Move things around, add some simple animations, make the text contrast more against the background, make them more complex.

It's difficult to try and explain all of this, my suggestion is that you head on over to www.pixel2life.com and look up some tutorials for whichever program you used to create these.

Too simple to start with. Try incorporating some image and some cool effects into this banners. For advertising purpose, you need good eye catching banners which are diiffernt and attractive.

They are a bit limited and some are positively irritating, take a look around at banners you see and decide which ones you like and why. Research is key with most things to do with design but especially when you are trying to sell something to somebody.

They all seem pretty "blah" to me. They are simple gradients with hard to read text. There are no pictures or flashy items to draw the customer. I would say that you need a clearer background with clear text and something catchy.

What is going to make your banner stick out from the rest of the hundreds we see every day? To be honest if I saw that I wouldn't even think about clicking it.

Sorry to give you the hard truth.

I think the colors are okay and can be improved but the real problem is the words or the texts. You put too many texts together which the viewers will find it difficult to read and then the text size may be alittle too big.

edit: try putting attractive images in it
