I definitely agree. You can still reg some premium keywords for not much money, $7.99 at Domainmonster.

It seems that owners are dropping these premiums, so it could be an opportunity, especially if .im arises from its tiny isle and makes a lot of noise.

It's worth a shot.

Yeah, true. But here the thing is you need to hold these domains for at least 5-6 years from now onwards.

By the way, I just saw Name.com offering new registration and renewals of .IM domains for just $6.99. A dollar less then DomainMonster but I would still be with DomainMonster because they offer great services along with Free Privacy (which I don't need it) and their customer service is great as well

Yes, you are right. That's why I said at least 5-6 years so if one has the power of holding these then it will definitely give some good return in future
