An e-commerce company, Communicate.com Inc., that develops, owns, and operates a network of websites specializing in travel, consumer goods, sports/lifestyle and B-to-B (business to business) has announced that it has entered into an agreement to sell Automobile.com, Exercise.com, Body.com and Makeup.com for $1 million to Manhattan Assets, Inc., a private U.S. corporation. A non-refundable initial payment of $200,000 has been received.

The news article also mentions the buyer as " Manhattan Assets, Inc., a private U.S. corporation". It doesn't say what state the company is in, but one would assume New York.

Well New York doesn't have a corporation registered named that.

I'm hoping the sale is legit, because it could be a good little boost for our industry. Guess we'll wait and see.

also in whois the entry is form 2002. only 1 year old

maybe some rich guy justy buying up good names, he might of only started last year or 2

oir it might be a fake trying to use the manhatten associates name, just changed it to manhatten assets

Appears since the addy's are the same for buyer and seller, that it is a case of "shuffling" funds around.. (on a corporate level) which big corp's do.. for various tax reasons etc.. hmm.. I'de venture too guess the corp. is a Delaware formed corp. Delaware is the #1 most widely used state for corp. formation. Just guessing here..
