With minimal marketing we have had a couple of initial offers at 35-40K....still considering the amount of push we need to have to it in the $75K +
I think this one is clearly worth the effort and work to maximize a great sale and possibly a six figure sale price.
Thanks again.....R
ATeam.com domain --> no landing page with contact form, just a parking page that makes the name look unavailable for purchase
WHOIS --> privacy protected, no contact email
Afternic --> not listed = not distributed to their network of registrars for lead capturing/offer taking
You're going to lose out on most offers with this set up, which is not geared toward capturing potential leads.
If you're going to use WHOIS privacy at least add a contact form landing page so that potential buyers have a way to get in touch with you. Most end users are not savvy enough to know that they can email the long gibberish WHOIS privacy email and it will get forwarded to you (if you have WHOIS forwarding set up properly).
Also, if you list it at Afternic the name will show up at a ton of registrars. You don't have to set a BIN price. This will get you a lot of additional offers as it will help end users "discover" that your name is on the market and that you are entertaining offers. Of course setting a BIN does tend increase turnover.
I'd say do this for a start to increase the chances of a $75K+ buyer/lead coming to you, which would put you in a much better negotiating position than if you put in a lot of effort to making first contact and marketing the name to them.
