.Asia --> what to register!

I am very curious about everyones .Asia registrations. In paticular I am curious about what language to register in?

I primarily see only English registrations... Yes some people speak English in Asia, that goes without saying. Im not denying that fact.

A few quick questions and points:

-Are the keyboards not different there?

-Do the keyboards support enlgish characters, i thought the asian characters translated through IDNs?

-How will people in asia type this in?

-If they do use english characters, do you tink they will type it in their "native" language, such as Japanese or Chinese, or english?

- .Asia is covers a vast amount of Nations, What nation will be the biggest user of .Asia from a type in standpoint? Japanese, Chinese, or Korean?

- What country will be the biggest consumer of "Adult" content as China gets filtered?


Alot of variables to consider here.

IMO there are alot of paculiar registrations happening, it seems everyone is buying based on AMERICAN overture, I am curious how that helps.

Anyhow these are just a few of the thoughts rolling around in my head. Comments, answers and more questions are welcome.

I don't see a reason for .Asia to become popular in China because few Chinese can correctly spell "Asia" and .cn registration fee is less than 1% of .Asia registration fee.

answerable.com accepts paypal and provides CED service for free. Registration is $15.99 for .asia

Very good questions DA. :tu:

Quite a number of countries using the QWERTY keyboard but some countries' do have foreign characters on them.

Just like the way the rest of the world type in their .COMs? :hehe:

At this point of time, I don't see .Asia being used in Japan, China or Korea. They already have their own well-established CCTLDs.

Of course I may be wrong and suddenly all countries abolish their own CCTLDs and adopt .asia.
