Has anyone registered .asia domains with Go Daddy or Resigter??

No Probs.

I have registered my 2 so far through Godaddy.

They required proof of residency.

I gave my passport number (I live in Australia) and all was hunky dory.

I had been looking for a list of acceptable countries and, after confirming that Australia is ok, I did find something on Godaddy that has the full list.

Have a look around in there. You should be able to find it. If I could, anyone can. :D

Okay, that is enough, I don't want to get anyone's blood pressure up.

paying.asia and shoppe.asia work for me also. Paying.asia may have some utility as a portal for credit card processing or something of that ilk. Similarly, shoppe.asia with the Anglicized spelling of shoppe could be an electronic mall showcasing Oriental products.

I just went for broader geographical names like VietNam1, Singapore1, Japan1 etc. figuring that someone can make a portal or minor search engine out of them and then sell space to other domains.

punjabisikh mentioned that instead of having an asian address, you could use the defalut of the registrar. I have back verification that 26 of my 30 domains are registered, so it must be as punjabisikh stated.
