There will be a lot of people registering .asia domains from now - so I thought it might be a good idea to list the best places to register them along with prices.

So far I've only looked at a few - so here they.... please add registrars you know who are taking .asia registrations. Mention prices and reliability if you can.

I just dont know which registrar's whois results to believe, even the registry.asia is not credible for now.

If you use Paypal then moniker is ok but you need to fund your account first. If you register bulk there though it is a painful process to have to set the company info for each domain, at least with Dotster it was done in bulk .

Seems a lot is going wrong. Moniker shows some domains as available which are not available in reality when checking other registrars.

Is GoLive registration allow 1 year registration?
Or minimum of 2 years!!!

"Contact in Asia" so if I'm currently living in Asia that's fine, right? Is there any registrar that will allow registrations from an unverified paypal account?

Thats really weird!

I tried to register a domain that shows as available.. still does... but registration fails at both GoDaddy and Moniker for some reason. I get the following error message:

Failed to create a Domain in registry. Error code: 2306 - Parameter value policy error"

Anyone know what this means?

I just got the exact same message at Moniker.
I emailed support.
Good thing was, the .biz showed available (pinch me) :hehe:

It was not untill now that I find godaddy.com dose not work. Cann't login, clear my paypal account on file information, etc. As a conclution, if you want to reg an asia domain, then it is IMPOSSIBLE.

What's wrong with .asia? At one registrar a .asia name is available and at other, it's already taken.

Maybe the pre-registrations / reserved names have something to do with it.

i have used www.netfirms.com for a .asia reg no problems , but you need a cc .

I have some names that I applied for in landrush that are marked "submitted to registry" at eurodns. I applied for other names ready for go live in the interval between end of landrush and beginning of go live. There are also marked as "submitted to registry" which I don't understand at all.

Any thoughts?

*Sobs* I can't get a .asia 'coz my Paypal's unverified. Aargh, frustrating!

Dotster are ok if you use your cc, Moniker are fine except a bit slow for bulk reg as you have to enter company info for each domain plus you need to depost $ first for paypal.

I haven't had any problems with Moniker so far... fingers crossed. I've now used paypal at checkout, added funds prior to checkout and also tried using credit card and all seems to be working fine.

Getting the names into my account within minutes of registering them.

How are people doing with other registrars? ResellerClub / Directi users supposed to have $11.99 reg... how is it going? Any problems? Are any Directi resellers actually offering .asia registrations to general customers?

I can confirm that Moniker fail if your company/asian contact details are not in order. I just tried to reg 4 names and they failed, then I entered my business number and it worked.

I just tried registering at idotz.net a few minutes ago. Domains pending. We'll see how that goes.
