The company appears to have raised more than $1 million in funding via StartEngine in a round that closed earlier this year
I contacted the team at Aries on X, and I was told the domain name was acquired for seven figures via the recently launched DomainEasy platform
So the company spent almost all of their raised funding money just for a domain? BS.

It could be a payment plan. It's also great domain so I don't see any reason to doubt the sale, other than to look like negative Nancys silly goose...

They also look to have acquired the @Aries twitter handle. Possibly a recent acquisition as their support website still links to their old Twitter handle @TradeAries which now shows a "this account does not exist" status.

If they acquired the handle from X/Twitter, it wasn't cheap. Last time Acquire.com founder tried to get the user handle and they wanted 6 figures.

Do you know how transferring X handles work? As far if:

(a) there is a process to directly push a handle to another email?
(b) you change the email in settings?
(c) you drop the handle, and the new owner immediately registers it?

...then how is the join date reflected after a handle is transferred?
Transferring X (formerly Twitter) handles involves a few considerations, and while X does not have a direct, official process for transferring a handle like some other platforms, here’s how it generally works for the scenarios you mentioned:

(a) Process to directly push a handle to another email?

X does not have a built-in, official "push" system for transferring a handle directly to another email account. However, a user can change the associated email address on their account to a new one. This is done in the Account Settings, but it's important to note that this is not the same as directly transferring a handle to another user. You would still have to go through account management steps like logging out and logging into the new email, and the account would still technically belong to the original owner until it’s fully re-registered.

(b) Changing the email in settings?

Yes, you can change the email address associated with your X account through the Settings:

1. Go to Settings and Privacy.

2. Navigate to Account.

3. Select Email Address and update it.

This change will not affect your handle (username), but it allows the account to be associated with a new email address. The handle will remain with the account until you change it or deactivate it.

(c) Dropping the handle, and the new owner immediately registering it?

X does not currently have an automated system that allows immediate transfer of a handle once it's dropped. If you deactivate your account, the handle will be unavailable to others for a period, but it's not necessarily instantly available for the next user to claim. The process of handle availability depends on whether the account is fully deleted or just deactivated. Generally, the handle may be locked for some time or remain with the original account until the account is fully gone.

There is a possibility that new users can try to register the handle once the account is completely deactivated, but it’s not an instantaneous or guaranteed process. If you are attempting to transfer a handle to someone, the safest way is usually through account management (i.e., changing the email and password to hand over access).

How is the Join Date Reflected After a Handle is Transferred?

If you transfer ownership of a handle (e.g., by handing over account credentials or changing the associated email), the join date will remain tied to the original creation of the account. So, even if the handle is "transferred" in a sense, the join date stays with the original user who created the account. This means the new user taking over the account will still see the original join date from the first owner.

In essence:

The handle can be handed over with a process involving email address change or account deactivation.

The join date remains unchanged and reflects when the original user first created the account, even after ownership changes.

Besides the chatGPT answer, curious if can anyone comment from experience? Or maybe somebody with GROK access can share GROK's answer?

@aries handle archive.org history:

The handle looks to have belonged to somebody who's tweets don't represent the opinion NASA up until 2021. (Account created 2008)

Then a 2022 archive.org entry shows @Aries xHandle belonging to somebody using Opensea.com/DazAi in their profile, with a join date of November 2021.

I have changed usernames on old accounts before. Join date doesn't change when you change the username.

X/Twitter have been suspending premium handles and freesing them up for selling. They stole plenty of accounts for their use as well.
