ARGH! Air Conditioner Not Working!

A month or two back, we had a power outage here in the neighborhood that fried the air conditioning unit (and our computer printer).. if I remember correctly, the fan and all worked but it wasn't cooling and they had to replace the compressor or something.

Well, yesterday morning, we had a power outage again, and I meant to mention it to my girlfriend before she left out of town to see if they also had an outage downtown (where she works) and forgot.. now, I woke up sweating at 3 am.. it's 82 in here tho the thermostat is set for 70 and it's only in the 70's outside. She is gonna freak when she finds out.. we just had it replaced! The part was "free", but the "labor charges" (ahem) were high!

and it's not even my fault.. hm, what a dilemma! If I tell her, she'll be mad because she'll feel she has to cut her visit with her daughter short.. if I don't tell her, she'll say I should have, lol.. can't win either way!

Damn that sux If I were you, I would tell her, it's not your fault so she can't get mad at you for it. It's always better to tell the women, than hide information from them - it can backfire bigtime

Hehe, I told her and she's calling the repair service from where she is.. my problem was I had no idea who she called the last time. AND, I actually always tell her everything.. I am too smart to try and hide anything from any woman, lol! I just didn't want to "ruin" her "vacation".

Dang, 84 degrees and humid in the house.. have all the shades drawn, etc.

Ouch. I know what it's like not to have an air conditioner.

We haven't had one for years over here.

It's about a hundred degrees outside, with 105 heat index atm.

This trailer is highly insulated, so it's keeping all of the heat inside. It's hotter in here than it is outside!

I'd kill myself today if my AC didn't work... it's 100 degrees here in Chicago with a heat index of 112.

My mom's relay broke down that was responsible for cooling in the car, it was $60 to repair it, and you can't trun the conditioner on because the car'll get umm... HOT

Finally got the guy out to fix the AC.. it was a blown capacitor.. $71.50 for labor and service call.
