There always seems to be "hand picked", "hand selected" or "premium" auctions. Meaning, the domains to be entered into auction are selected by an individual or committee for inclusion based on quality.
We see these "hand selected" auctions with both conference auctions and some marketplace auctions.
Often, there are comments and complaints from domainers who submitted domains for inclusion, only to be denied. The denial generally comes with a response that the domain is not "premium" or the domain is too low of quality.
So are these denials legitimate? Are they biased? Do the auction organizers not want too many "premium" names as to not dilute the market at once?
Further, has anyone ever sold a domain that was previously denied entrance into a "hand selected" auction?
In regards to the poll, there may not be a simple answer. Let's discuss.
