Actually, I think you may be onto something with HealthyMenu.net - This name has great potential and would be stellar as a dot com. Now, weve obviously pointed out the biggest issue, its a .net. But beyond that it definetly has potential. Had it been avail, I might have grabbed it. This is definetly worthy of a mini-site or even development.

HealthyWorkout on the other hand doesnt quite make sense. Although yes, there are unhealthy workouts (pushing yourself too hard, ect) This isnt a natural phrase that rolls of the tongue and would require substantial branding to be valueable.

1 out of 2 aint bad

But, I would also recommend sticking with dot coms, you'll find even a "poorer" dot com, will do better than a "better" dot net.

Dude, if the dot com was there, I would have nailed it like a......nevermind.

Care to hazard a dollar figure this time on healthymenu.net?

Ok, here is exactly why .net's should be avoided as much as possible. If Im loving the phrase "HealthyMenu" and I want to build my site around it. And I notice that the dot com and dot net are parked, what am I gonna do?

1. Offer the dot com owner, to see if the domain is avail. If it turns out he doesnt want to sell or its unaffordable, do I consider buying the .net? Nope. I dont want to develop a .net domain name, unless I also have the com. Now, will some people think the dot net is worth development if dot com doesnt sell, perhaps. But not most.

Value wise? Perhaps $10-25 with the circumstances considered above.

Knowing that the dash would kill it, what would you value healthy-menu.com at?

Dashes don't bother me, but folks around here seem to care.

I personally would value the .net over the dash. The problem is simply a level of domains, if you put a pecking order of Com,Net,Org - hyphenated dot coms are going to be towards the bottom of the pecking order. Type ins will be lost for sure, and your site will be taken less seriously by visitors who are becomming suspect of "hyphen" names. Your SE ranking will be unaffected by the hyphen, but thats about the only positive news on that front.
