"New Homes" even with a hyphen is a true top tier domain when you factor in the search volume and end user potential.

Even with a hyphen the term is contained in 400+ domains

New-Home.net sold for $2188 in April 2008.

It is worth at least low $X,XXX even to a reseller. I could see a Mid $X,XXX sale or more to an end user.

I agree with Brad. Mid $x,xxx at least. Great name. I'm not a hyphen hater if you've got a category killer.

Are you sure you read the domain correctly? Yes it does have a hyphen but it is a category killer domain. Hotel-Reservations.com was sold for mid or high $XX,XXX last year. Can't remember exactly how much though..

Sometimes although the domain has a hyphen if it has very high search volume it can still be worth decent amount..

Like the above posters said atleast $X,XXXX to Possibly $XX,XXX...

Good Luck with the sale if that is what you are planning.. :$::$::$::$::$:

I really appreciate all of the appraisals.

Does anybody know that actual sales figure and date for Hotel-Reservations.com?

Hotel-Reservation.com sold for $209K according to DnSalePrice.com in September 2009. However, that is really an outlier sale. There have been many hyphenated domains that are as good or better sold for a tiny fraction of that.

I hear you Brad. I plan to contact several companies and just want to have a short list of recent (hyphenated) domain sales to reference.

I realize that the Hotel-Reservation.com sale is an anomaly of sorts. Thanks for the data!

I am still looking for additional appraisals.

I agree, great domain even with the hyphen. If it were NewHomes.com then it would boost the price tenfolds but as it is worth low to mid $XX,XXX. Good luck with it! :)

I don't want to offend macmohan, but I have seen your replies in many of the appraisal threads without proper attention or care. It looks as if you're trying to increase your post-count rather than being serious towards genuine appraisal.

This domain is really valuable and can fetch mid XX,XXX $ or more if you have real patience waiting for the right offer.
