Hi All,

I need a little help from you guys.

We own several hundred domain name. We are mainly an SEO company and just buy a few domains here and there. We have never really re sold many.

We own the domain name josiegoldberg.com

Josie Goldberg is a playboy model.

We have been contacted by the assistant of this model asking to buy the domain. Any ideas how to go about this? I don't want to start the price too low but again I don't want to scare them off.

Your help would be appreciated.

Putout a fair offer that reflects some token profit without gouging the real name owner.

She can sue to get it right? Settle on "x" amount then sell it.

i believe that she would be famous enough to establish she has legal title to the domain as her name represents a trademark. there are a number of UDRP cases that support this. if you check the legal section for namepros newbies you will note very firm advice against regging names of this nature.

i would say that you would be happy to transfer it in return for two invites to the next playboy mansion party or similar. at least get a photoshoot out of it

I had a company ask for a quote for a site I had that was their company name. I threw out $25 and that was it with free push.

Don't make enemies. You might get a DVD out of it!

You are lucky mate, but business is business & nothing can be an alternate for $.
I think she can easily give you $500 to $1000 for the domain.

Try having a quick deal and plz dont try to be greedy as if she takes a legal angle to it you will be in problem and might have to give the domain for free. take whatever you can.....

Yes, but this happened to me as well. The company had the dashed-version and I had their un-dashed version. They said $500 and I said $2000. They countered with $1200 and it was a done deal. It's amazing what you can get for a $10 reg fee. Don't sell yourself short.
