I just received a $500 offer on this domain thru GoDaddy. Have owned it since 2003.

Interesting domain!

I feel you can get more than that. I see a few apps in iTunes & Android Store named "Dash Mobile" (Travel/Recruitment/Computing). Also the name itself is quite generic to the smartphone/automobile sectors.
Mobile Dashboard/Dashboard for Automobiles/etc. Even the Crypto currency "Dash" related areas would be of interest.

Not sure how it can be used though

You have owned the domain for 14 years yet still have no idea how it could be used? What was your original idea behind purchasing it? You must have had a few ideas for it over the years?

Concerning your offer, it's much too low in my opinion. It's a very nice, highly bendable name.

Well, it's been so long that I hardly remember, but I got this name with a bunch of "dash...com" names, such as dashnews.com. dashback.com, dashcash.com, dashcache.com. dashkids.com, dashex.com...

Like I said, it was a long time ago.

You say you think the offer is much too low. What range do you put it in?

$500 is a pretty standard starting offer, it shows genuine interest in a decent name which (assuming it is a genuine offer) in my experience. If it was me with this domain, I'd counter with mid xxxx.

It just depends on what you feel happy with yourself. I generally wouldn't accept an initial offer, if it's around what I'm looking for, I'd probably counter with $750 and take it from there. There is always the danger of the buyer thinking a name isn't worth it if you just accept the first offer imo.
