domain Appraisal for: webxbox.com

Hiya all, can the seasoned domain appraisers please give their opinions on the domain name of: WebXbox.com

Currently it is parked on Sedo, I am thinking of developing a site using the domain, the content being video games and particularly err Xbox with such things as reviews, forums, info, data feeds from AWS etc. etc.

I don't need someone to tell me the value as I believe it is only worth an amount someone is willing to pay, I rather develop a site than just sell a cool domain, much like selling a house than a plot of land.

Appraise or not to appraise ...
Is it receiving any traffic presently? I used to own an "xbox" domain (received pretty good traffic, too), and eventually sold it figuring it was too much of a potential ™ risk, in my view. Will your future development plans include prior permission from the folks at Microsoft, as well? :talk:

You dont need persmission from Microsoft if youre going to have an Xbox site. It's actually good for them if someone does that as it gives them more publicity and more customers are aware of the games coming out, news etc.(free hype for them)

Developed worth some $s

If you develop the site then I see it worth some good dollars. A fan site would most likely be considered a lawful use of the term xbox, however, Microsoft is quite the aggressive trade mark protector so asking is a good idea before you put in the work.

Thanks for the comments u guys, does anyone know how one goes about seeking permission for the use of the domain, would i have to contact the PR team of Microsoft or something?

I am just hoping I don't have to deal with their legal team!

The site in question (if built), will most definitely be a fan-site so it would acknowledge everything good about Xbox in a utopian way, so as a previous poster suggested, it would promote Microsoft in a good light.
