I see no TM issue here.

Most of the time people will say TM issues, but honestly you could own nike.vg and get away with it. Apple is obviously not TM issue at all because I eat apples each day.

Unless you steal mac/iphone/ipod images and make a site about that, you have little to worry about in reguards to TM.

That being said, .VG has had little reported sales. I personally sold Proxy.vc for around 105$ here in the live auction several months back. It was getting substantial traffic however.

Anything above reg fee would be proffit with this name. Good luck.

This name is not all bad. Ok, I support .vg, but "Apple" the company is not the owner of the word apple, just the one they have trademarked.
There are other uses for apple, such as for wine:

The key here is just to find the right end user. Register it for a few years, if you can, then just wait patiently.

Tried to sell it here, about 100 views, not 1 offer.
Tried to start an auction for $60 from here, no takers. Then... sold it for $4,350 on Sedo!

Sure, .vg is obscure, but it doesn't mean there isn't a end user out there in this big world! As long as it doesn't have to do with computers, or anything close to the big "Apple", there is no trademark problem.
