Applesauce.com is currently selling for $250 000 on Sedo with 35 current bids.
Apple-sauce.com would pretty much be the next best option IMO. We also know that based on sales history hyphenated domains fetch generous prices. Feel free to check out Namebio sales history to validate this.
The fact that Google also ignores the Hyphen is a bonus from an SEO perspective.
Now ask yourself this, if you were one of the 35 people that placed a bid on Applesauce.com and it ended up getting sold for $250 000 to someone else, would you be able to justify spending lets say for example, $10 000 on a hyphenated alternative? It reads almost the same, has the same SEO score, still looks aesthetically appealing and it's $240 000 less that the non-hyphenated domain. If it was me, the answer would be HELL YEAH!
Off course some of you would disagree, this thread is not aimed you. It's aimed at those who can see the justification in this and can see the potential of acquiring this domain.

Price: $1599 - its only been listed on Sedo for just over a week and its already got 38 unique visits. The reason for this is because when you search apple sauce on SEDO this domain is listed directly under the non hyphenated one.
I have it selling for $8888 on SEDO.
