Here is a name I have pre-regged. Should I get the name would I then face TRADEMARK problems??
The name has 20 odd LIVE trademark registrations on it if you search USPTO
None of has anything to do with Photography though (that being the first thing you associate Aperture with) It is also a GENERIC word. Am I in the clear on this one if I regged it and parked it with SEDO or Afternick and eventually sell it to some interested party(maybe a photography dealer)?

And how,s CARTON.EU? That has more then 50 TM on it none of which has anything to do with the product carton. They range from optics to fashions.

Another name is CABARET.EU That has more then 40 Trademarks on it ranging from clothes to shoes to entertainment. So I guess one is not allowed to register CABARET.

Not sure, apeture is also a well know photography magazine as well as lense part. Also a software program from apple.

Yep-Well that,s a good example. APERTURE is a generic word according to me and this illustrates how a big large company like Aplle can trademark that name and outmuscle anyone else. A generic name should not be able to be trademarked. Now what happens if I want to use the name for my photography shop? I guess Apple will shut me down and take my domain name as well. And what about all the other 40 or so trademarkholders of that name? Are they going to have to gic=ve it up to APPLE now?
