Any Suggestions for me PLEASE??

I am looking for free / open source software. Can someone please advise or help me out. I am building a website - similar to e-bay. Or should i say - i want the back office to work on a similar concept. Here is my concept:

WANTED & SUPPLIERS:

I want members to list "Wanted" goods;

Then i want Suppliers to join at a fee, to be able to view details of wanted listings

All Members must register to post.

"Suppliers" must then be able to quote "Wanted" customers online via my site

Terms and conditions must not allow any contact details to be given via my site.

"Wanted" customer must then order on site - should quote be appropriate.

The "Supplier" then pays a % of the order as a fee to me (my site)


I am in South Africa. A good example is www.bidorbuy.co.za.

Instead of auctioning or selling goods, i want to connect suppliers with customers seeking the goods they can supply.


PLEASE if anybody can tell me how to or where to get software to support this platform - i would be so GREAT FULL!!

Well I can only point you to a website of great importance. The only reason I know it, is because I used some open source software from it myself and I enjoy games.

Go search for what you want here. You might find something similar:

Search under the different categories. Search for Auction scripts.... either on there or on google.

Try Joomla - Content Management System. There are thousands of plug ins available, a great Community Builder Tool as well as Auction Tools that can be built right into the frame of Joomla.

For an overview of all CMS just go to: www.cmsmatrix.org , you'll find an abundance of available systems there and can compare them side by side.

Also, check at NP at the "Free" and "scripts" sections, you're bound to find something.

I think you would need auction software since sales software would probably not give you the option to bid on an item.
