Anyone who still plays BF1942 ??

I've just started a BF1942 game server now, and everyone's invited..
6 of the slots are reserver for my forum members, but the the remaining 34 are public.

Search for Milforum on the BF1942 server list to find it..

It's a great oportunity to go online, meet interesting people (NP'ers and others) from all over the world,
and 8-X FRAG 8-X them!!

I'm running Desert Combat Final v8 on it right now, but many other mods are available.

ahh..need uhh.. El Alamein, that other desert one (the one with the hidden airbase in the north-west corner), market garden, umm..anything with Helos :D

Nice Redleg, NY gets great ping. My gameservers are in Texas so medicore across whole US.

What Datacenter are you in?

never did get into bf42 that much, played bf:v for a long time, and now waiting for bf2

BF1942, yes, but not Desert Combat. I'm into historically realistic stuff, so Forgotten Hope for me.

ah you should give dc a try at least.. I think youll be most impressed.
the coding behind it is +2 over FH (IMO).. Apaches, AC130Spectre, all the lastest fighters, bradleys, 3 types of hmmv's, ambrams..and on and on.

plus the maps are just...top notch

I might be getting this game... was thinking about it around Christmas... but decided against it... is it worth buying, and wheres the cheapest place to buy?

It's definately worth buying!
I believe you can get it for around $18 in online stores like Amazon etc..

or for 10 at best buy now. prolly buy it in a bundle pack with road to rome and that other xpack..secret weapons i think its called.

way worth gettin. single player isnt the greatest..but man..

my one gripe about playiong online is without a guild or clan.. there ussually isnt much team work, and the clans that do exist require so much bs (lol, meetins, must talk to them via ventrillo or ts, some have applications lol)...so if you find a group of friends you can play with.. do it that way and have a blast Tom.

And that's why I started that server.
No BS rules there, and I can password protect all slots if I want to play with my friends and forum members only..

I'm online there now by the way, if anyone of you Dares to challenge me in Desertshield and Lostvillage.. :D

I did reboot the server last night, so that could have caused it..

I played last night after that, and got a great ping all the way from Norway..

UPDATE:

The server has been moved over to London (UK) now.
Just experimenting/testing the new server center there.
