Another question about domain registration

When registering a domain name, with a .com, i assume it's also good to register the .net, but are there any other extensions worthwile registering at the same time? I'm very interested to know which ones are worthwile registering.

Actually I think in most cases, the .com is enough, as that is the first thing people will go to, but some do also grab the .net to avoid problems later on. As far as the other ones, maybe .us at this point...

.com is enough no need to get the .net unless your really afraid that someone will register it :D

I usually just grab .com & .net it's mainly a budget call on your end, if it is going to be a business site and you need to protect it I would grab more, if not save the money.

Just get the other extensions if your wallet allows it.

Thanks so much for that advice. It's nice to know that people who register a domain name have some rights if it takes off. Of course, I do understand that it will take some work to get it to that point, but I'm prepared!!!

It takes a little time for UCANN to make its decision,But the time can be well worth it.Some people see a site and they copycat it right down to reging the domain name in a .net,Ect.They way my two cases were ruled on was,The register has violated UCANN article ?? By registering and using the domain name in bad faith,With intent to manipulate the taffic,Sales.Of this said known .com,UCANNS action:They demanded that the domain name be turned over to UCANN.And they were.You don't have to file a trademark for your DN to have intelectual property rights.UCANN governs internet laws for that very reason.But,If they are using a .net or other extension with your name,And they are using it for non-profit,And are found not to have reged it bad faith,Then the chances are UCANN will let them keep it.
