It is a clear case.

Due to lack of expertise, assuming there is no intent, GoDaddy misallocated shareholder's resources.

GoDaddy is fortunate, this suit is not brought in a civil court.

We do not care about GoDaddy.

But we care about domain name industry and we care about business ethics.

GoDaddy gives a bad name to domain name holders by holding questionable domain names. So, they are hurting our firm and we will not let them do it.

If GoDaddy brakes the law on a consistent basis, they might as well go out of business.

One reason Go Daddy might not acquire your services might be the lack of professional representation. This inadequate spelling or word choice is not appropriate on a business forum

Brakes: a device for slowing or stopping a moving vehicle, typically by applying pressure to the wheels.

Breaks: fail to observe (a law, regulation, or agreement).

So which is it; Misspelling or wrong word choice from Mr. Professional?

By the way Amy-Schumer.com is not necessarily a cyber squat. Names of public individuals can be used as fan sites or parody sites without violation of law. (breaking or braking, whichever you prefer.)

GoDaddy is not a fan of this comedian. They probably acquired the domain name as a part of a larger portfolio, which might contain more such domain names. And our advice is to clear the portfolio of these domain names.

Amy-Schumer.com is 100% cyber squatting it's making money from the real Amy Schumer via the park page clicks, one goes to her amazon book.

If a fan site or parody site makes 1 cent then in theory they are infringing on the trademark. Personally it really depends on the trademark holder on what they wanna do.

I do agree with @DomainNameBroker.com this doesn't look good for Godaddy, it gives a bad rep to the industry one way or another.

When GoDaddy gets a $50,000,000.00 fine trough a civil court as punitive damages, domain name industry will react. But an inexpensive UDRP is not that noticeable.

Legal Zoom article on parody. Click here.

The name is not necessarily infringement, in and of itself. I personally would not want it in my portfolio.

Has anybody researched why Amy Schumer might have a problem with the domain, or history, of Amy-Schumer.com? Allow me...

The domain appears to have been first registered in May of 2013 using the email address cnbn_amyschumer[email protected] by Christian News Broadcasting Network.

upload_2017-9-30_18-43-57.png

Then, according to DomainTools, WHOIS includes K and M marketing and publicity? Was this a PR stunt? Fake news? Smear campaign? Created by a religious based company? I'm confused...

Below is a June 7th, 2013 screenshot. The site alleges it has partnered with Amy Schumer. (not sure if that's true or not?)

In May 2013, Amy-Schumer.com is linked to have published some information regarding a sex tape.

The (circled) name below, is also the name listed in the May 2013 WHOIS registrant.

Also, believed created in May 2013

And again on Twitter in 2013

Then it appears on Flippa, and allegedly sells for $50 BIN

This is not as relevant.

What is relevant is GoDaddy is facing a legal action. This is not humorous. And this is not good for business.

Pause for the cause...

Maybe it was an intentional typo? ie DNB never accused GD of breaking the law if it accused them of braking the law?

If I say, I have never been beet up before. It doesn't mean I've never been beaten up. ;)
or
Nobody beets our prices!
ha. I kid. I kid.

I'll stick to research, and leave the jokes to Amy Schumer...

NameFind operates as a subsidiary of Go Daddy. Learn more about "subsidiary".

You are right. We meant NameFind, the subsidiary of GoDaddy.

**With all that said, I still have no idea how NameFind took possession of the domain. Maybe somebody can look into the DRID when it was parked with ROOKDNS while under GD privacy before going to NameFind. I've checked a few domains associated with that DRID and so far I've only found domains regged with GD privacy**

We do not know why you are researching the ownership history and diluting the text page with extra large images.

How the domain name was acquired is a detail. It is in NameFind's account and this is why they are facing a legal action.

We focus on the solution of the problem and prevention of its reoccurrence. It happened because NameFind was not careful enough to prevent it.

Also, please note, we do not plan to let verbal assaults go unreported.

Do you know how? I'm happy to teach you how / why for a cookie.

How the domain name was acquired is a detail.

A very important detail at that.

We focus on the solution of the problem and prevention of its reoccurrence.

The solution involves figuring out how the domain was acquired, to help, prevent it from happening again.

Yet, your solution to NameFind is for them to hire you?
