no, i dont think adbrite pays as well as adsense, and actually i dont think their ads are nearly as targetted either which is another big downside... but with adbrite, you have a higher chance of having an exclusive-type deal with an advertiser (brokered by adbrite of course). and exclusive-type deal could outperform adsense, and you make money even if no one clicks an ad. however, this is bad for your site in the long run and brings down your repurchase rate.

In my opinion AdBrite wins easy. But it all comes down to your site/blog category.

Its not what others suggest to your for a program that should determine what program you should use. You need to A/B test different programs on your pages and this is where you will see what makes the most for you.
