I am assuming dgridley was alluding to the fact alexa rankings aren't always accurate and can be distorted.

The 62-163 number you are talking about is probably the "reach" meaning the number out of 1 milliion websurfers who visited that site.

There are applications that can send fake hits to your sites via Proxy to simulate traffic and thereby lowering your Alexa numbers. So. Alexa Rank has to be taken with a large grain of salt.

havent gone deep into alexa n rankings n pr yet..need to brush up my knowledge..gosh
wish tehre is like one mth intensive class to go..

Myself, I wouldn't worry too much about Alexa.. concentrate more on Google Page Rank.
