What alexa ranking should a domain have before you start registering typo's of that domain?

I found a domain with a ranking between the 75,000-85,000 range whose keywords would easily bring in $2-$5/click. This domain has 12 typos of it available.

Is that a good enough ranking to drop $100 on these domains?

regged them thru moniker, then if they dont bring traffic delete them within the 4 days and get your money back (minus icann fees)

my advice would be to reg one then see how the revenue is. Register the one where the letters are next to each other on the keyboard

e.g. piont.com could be a typo of point.com rather than a name like poitn.com etc....

Good luck

Well, IMO you should check the OVT score too and the google bl because 75,000-85,000 shouldn't be a good indicator of heavy traffic, but if the keywords brings that amount you only know if you register them.
I've registered several typos based on Alexa score 1000 to 5000 and then i realize that it doesn't worth the reg fee...
I agree with irishmat, you should use moniker to test traffic.
If you want, you can pm me so we can share some ideas.

Thanks for the input everyone. I've registered 5 of the 12 and have 3 hits so far. Hopefully once I optimize the pages more my CTR will go up.
