Ringtones.com was purchased for $750K in 2010 and unloaded for $100K in 2015. Ringtone sales peaked in 2007...but still generate over $1 billion dollars annually worldwide. Under your rationale, .com's are falling off.I remember this domain was bought for 7K$ initially.
sadly, hack sales in general are not thta common..
cheers
Loc.al did not generate anything between the two sales...Ringtones.com was purchased for $750K in 2010 and unloaded for $100K in 2015. Ringtone sales peaked in 2007...but still generate over $1 billion dollars annually worldwide. Under your rationale, .com's are falling off.

Far more common than sh*tty .com sales. Just sayin.
Hmm I see one of my favorite registrar istanco can register .al domains.
Is it treated like a gTLD with search engines (like .me) since they both are small country and don't have that much of a local market for domains, but can go for western audience if a proper word hack is done?
I first search for any domain that matches a word both with and without the tld. E.g. accident.al. It's both a hack and not - take your pick. The one thing i love about hacks, specially in cctld's, you have two ways going about selling it, one is the people and business from the country itself plus the whole western market who might look at the domain from a brandable perspective.
Best,
San

AL allows for quite a few of these.
AL is still fresh. If the AL popularity will keep rising, even new registrations will have value. And most valuable names that are already owned can probably be acquired at bargain prices.things like this are not very valuable and have low chance of finding buyer.
there is a reason it is still not regged.
as I said above, everything that is relaly worth owning, is already long owned.
cheers
