Reviews and information for Aitdomains

I have not used this company but really hope some of you have and have had good experiences. I am particularly interested in the $6.49/yr for 40 domains and up.

Review

I've used aitdomains for some time. Domain names are a bit cheaper (more if you buy in bulk), customer service is quite good, but lacks in features. Interface is average.

they suck

Aitdomains.com sucks big time. Don't use this registrar.

I'm buying a domain these days from somebody. The domains is registered at aitdomains. We are using escrow.com. Everything was smooth so far until the seller had to push the domain. The problem is, you can not push a domain at aitdomains. There is no such thing.

I have called their costumer service. When I asked about domain push the woman said "what is domain push?".

They are calling this "change of ownership". The problem is the seller has to download a pdf file, print it, fill it, get it approved by a noter and then fax it back to aitdomains. They made a simple domain push f...ing complicated.

Transfering out is not very easy either. You call their costumer service and request an EPP code. Later, after some time they email the code to you.

When the seller mentioned sending noterized forms I told him forget about it. I want the domain out of this company if I'm going to buy it.

AIT Complaint - $150 for a One Year Domain Registration

AIT's interface is archaic and domain controls are very limited, but the most insidious aspect of this registrar is the subtle way they get big dollars out of clients. AIT will give the standard messages that a domain renewal is approaching. However, if there is an issue with the renewal, AIT does not bother to inform the client. Unknown to the owner, the domain goes into a 30 day grace period. After that, you notice your website is gone and AIT will not restore your domain until you pay them $150. I got stung 3 times by this silent profiteering. I asked AIT support why they couldn't sent a single auto-e-mail informing the client that a domain failed to renew. I never received a coherent answer because the simple answer is $$$$$. Buyer beware.
